Frequently asked questions
What does the " / " mean in the Morse output?
In International Morse Code, individual letters within a word are separated by a single space, and whole words are separated by a slash surrounded by spaces (" / "). So "SOS HELLO" becomes "... --- ... / .... . .-.. .-.. ---" — the slash marks where one word ends and the next begins.
What happens to characters that don't have a Morse code equivalent?
They're silently skipped in Text → Morse mode — only the standard letters A–Z, digits 0–9 and common punctuation (period, comma, question mark, and a few others) are encoded. Emoji, most symbols, and non-Latin scripts have no official Morse representation, so they simply don't appear in the output.
